HCI研究者でありメディアアーティストの筧康明（東京大学大学院情報学環 准教授／慶應義塾大学環境情報学部 客員准教授）が主宰する研究室。2008年に慶應義塾大学環境情報学部にて発足し、2018年からは東京大学大学院情報学環に籍を移す。大学キャンパス内に加え、横浜・関内に研究スペース（JST ERATO万有情報網プロジェクト研究拠点）を構えて研究・制作活動を展開している。研究室では、人間の五感や物理素材の特性とデジタル情報を掛け合わせ、身体、道具、コミュニケーションを拡張するインタラクティブメディアを開発する。その成果は、Ars Electronica、文化庁メディア芸術祭、ICC、YCAMなど、国内外の多くの展覧会、学会、フェスティバルにて発表され、受賞も多数。
A lab that Yasuaki Kakehi（Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, The University of Tokyo／Guest Associate Professor at Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University）, who is an HCI researcher and a media artist, is leading. Established at Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University 2008, and transferred its register to the Graduate School of Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, The University of Tokyo from 2018. In addition to the university Campus, his lab is developing the studies and the productions in the research places (the research base of JST ERATO Universal Information Network Project) around Yokohama and Kannai. In his lab, they develop the interactive media to extend the body, the tools, and the communication, combining 5 senses of human, feature of physical materials, and digital information. They got results in lots of exhibitions, conferences, and festivals in Japan and foreign countries, such as Ars Electronica、Japan Media Art Festival, ICC、YCAM.
